Where you are right now, right here, at this moment, is a direct result of the actions you’ve taken in the past.
What you own and don’t own is the consequences of what you’ve done.
It’s the choices you made and your willingness to accept mediocrity.
You talk a big game and make grand plans, only to quit at the first sign of challenge.
Every year you come up with a new business plan, a new diet, a new workout routine, but what have you made of those things?
Did you achieve the body you want? Did you ever follow through with that business plan? Did your life even change one bit?
Go get a mirror and let’s take a look at yourself—your body, your relationships, your bank account, your achievements, everything you have.
I’m sure you are not happy with any of those thing, but gawd damn you’re comfortable with where you are right now.
Because if you weren’t comfortable, you would’ve taken action long long time ago.
You wouldn’t have to wait for a calendar date to then start having all these damn goals.
You would’ve started before the new year resolution bullsh1t.
You can blame how social media is getting everyone addicted nowadays
You can blame how videogames are so good that you lose track of time playing them
You can blame how corporations have engineered food in a way that makes people over eat
Why are you blaming everything but yourself?
The one who scrolls,
The one who clicks and plays the game
The one who purchases and eat
When are you going to start taking responsibility?
Are you hopeless and feel like you’re not in control?
Because that’s exactly the position you put yourself into.
By blaming everyone else, you are handing over the control of your life, you let others dictate how you should live.
We all make mistakes from time to time—that's okay. What's not okay is turning your back on those mistakes and pointing fingers at others.
When you point your finger at someone else, three other fingers point back at ya.
If you’ve made it this far.
Thanks for reading.
I’ve been forcing myself to sit down and write because I want to get better at organizing my thoughts and expressing my feelings
Along with that I hope I can help others escape circumstances they’re unhappy with by changing the way they view the world and themselves.
