inspo:

In my family, there are certain people that I don’t want to spend too much time with, rather just once or twice every year.
There is nothing wrong with these family members, they’re great people, it’s just that I don’t find it worth my time spending time with them, and doing the activities that they do whenever there’s a get together
As I get older, I start to value my time even more; I respect my time, and I prefer other to do the same.
There are 2 types of activies that I spend my time doing, and they are the only activities that I find worth doing.
Productive Activities
Enjoyable Activities
If I’m going to spend my time doing something, that activity has to be either productive—making money, improving my skills, health, or relationship, or it has to be enjoyable. If I’m not getting paid to do this activity, I rather it be enjoyable, because why would I even do this thing if I don’t find it fun? Wouldn’t it be a waste of time?
Because of this rule, I find spending time with that side of my family a big waste of time.
And it’s not just a waste of time, but their mindset and their frequency is programming me for mediocrity.
