520k house
100k down payment (30% of what i have in portfolio)
50k/year for 8.4 years
I only make 100k a year (2024)
Mmmm sounds like a good deal with no interest but.
1. I wont have access to the house until its paid off
And this is huge. The mental stress, knowing that I’m indebted for 8.4 years
Imagine waking up everyday knowing that I owe 4k a month.
My actions, my decision making will completely be different.
The risk that I’m willing to take, will be different.
Sure a house is a save investment but… I want to try other things, I want to hone my skill in trading.
My job at Jackal is unstable, because eventually, we’ll run out of VC money.
Sarah doesnt work, so I might put that pressure on her for not helping…
The entire dynamic of our family will change just because we take this so call “good deal”
Is it really good if our way of living changes?
And what if I want to have a kid in 6 years? Fuck I cant afford a piece of shit being born.
Anyway, I’m gonna skip it
I dont fucking care whatever my dad or my family says.
A good deal can be found anywhere and any time
This is just nit my type of good deal based on the current income and my current portfolio.
